Services
Three services. Four ways to book.
Skip hire, roll-on/roll-off and grab & tipper, arranged through licensed suppliers anywhere in the UK. Which one you need usually comes down to whether the waste is already on the ground — and every way of booking one, including swapping a full skip for an empty one, is done online.

8 Yard Skip

- Holds
- ~80 bin bags
- Size
- 12ft 3in × 6ft 1in × 4ft 1in
- 3.73 × 1.86 × 1.25 m
Skip hire
A container on your ground for a week or two, filled at your own pace. Two to sixteen yards.

40 Yard RoRo
Commercial roll-on roll-off
- Size
- 20ft × 7ft 6in × 8ft
- 6.1 × 2.29 × 2.44 m

Roll-on/roll-off
Fifteen to forty yards for sustained work, billed on the tonnage that leaves rather than the size of the box.

8-Wheeler Grab Lorry
Loaded by grab lorry — no container left on site
- Holds
- ~20 cubic yards
- Capacity
- 15 m³ · 16–18 tonnes
Grab & tipper
A lorry reaches over the wall, loads muck off the ground and leaves with it. One visit, no permit, nothing left behind.
Ways to book
Every one of these is bookable online.
Not just the first delivery. A container already standing on your site can be swapped or collected in the same few clicks — no phone call, no waiting for someone to ring you back.
Drop and collect
Delivered, left with you, collected when you are done. The usual way to hire a skip.
Priced by the size you book.
Wait and load
The lorry arrives, waits while you load it, and leaves with the waste the same visit.
No permit to pay for — nothing stands on the road.
Exchange
Full one out, empty one in, one visit. The site never stops running and the hire carries on.
Priced as a fresh hire of the replacement size.
Collection
Finished early, or running long? Book the pick-up against the container that is already there.
Already paid for in the original hire.
Already have one of ours? Start a booking and pick Already have one of our skips on the first screen — we find it from your postcode and show you what you can do with it.
Collection
You do not have to know the day you will finish.
The collection is inside the hire price from the moment you book. When the end of the hire comes round, arranging the actual day is our job, not yours.
We email you
Delivered — 14 days’ hire starts
Collected
1
Book the drop
The collection is already in the price. You are not buying a delivery now and a pick-up later.
2
We email you
Automatically, a few days out, with the collection day on it. Not finished? Say so and we move it.
3
Off it goes
The supplier has the same date, so there is nothing for you to chase and nothing left on your ground.
Rather just ring? Call 0203 780 8888 at any point in the hire and a person sets the date by hand — the automatic emails step out of the way once somebody has. Need it longer instead? Say so and we will extend the hire.
Which do I need?
The differences that actually decide it.
Read from the same service definitions our booking uses, so this table cannot describe something the booking does not do.
| Question | Skip hire | Roll-on/roll-off | Grab & tipper |
|---|---|---|---|
| Does anything stand on your ground? | Yes — for the hire period | Yes — for the hire period | No — one visit |
| Council permit if it is on the road? | Yes, and we arrange it | Yes, and we arrange it | Not needed |
| What decides the price? | The size you book | The weight that leaves | The size you book |
| Who loads it? | You do | You do | The lorry does |
| Transfer note issued? | Yes, automatically | Yes, automatically | Yes, automatically |
Still not sure? Put your postcode into the price calculator and compare all three on the same job. If a skip is the wrong answer for what you have described, we would rather say so than send one.
Whichever it is, the price is on the page.
You do not have to be sure yet. Put a postcode in and all three are priced against the same job — including the council's permit fee if the container goes on the road.
