This policy explains how WASTEFLUX LTD collects, uses and protects your personal data when you book with us or get in touch, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and how this website uses cookies.

2. The personal data we collect
When you make a booking or get in touch we may collect:
- Identity and contact details: your name, email address and telephone number.
- Address details: the billing address and the delivery location, which may differ. We use a postcode lookup service to help you enter an address accurately.
- Business customer details: if you book on behalf of a business, we look the business up on the Companies House public register and record the company name, number, registered office and SIC codes.
- Booking notes: anything you choose to add to your booking.
- Waste Transfer Note signature evidence: when you accept our terms and the duty-of-care declaration at checkout we record the name you give, your IP address and the date and time, as electronic-signature evidence for the legally required transfer note.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only a payment reference and the status.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing emails — we contact you about your booking only.
- The licensed carrier performing your collection — the name, address and contact details needed to complete the job, and the waste description.
- The council or highway authority, where a permit is needed for a container on a public road.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Companies House — to match business details against the public register.
- A postcode lookup provider — UK address lookup.
- Our email delivery provider — booking confirmations, invoices, receipts and transfer notes.
- Regulators, including the Environment Agency, where we must produce waste duty-of-care records on request.
- Our IT, hosting and professional advisers, acting as processors under contract.
Some of these processors may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards — UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable.
5. How long we keep it
- Waste Transfer Notes: at least 2 years, as required by the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.
- Financial and invoice records: 6 years, for tax and company-law purposes.
- Booking and contact data: 6 years, aligned with the financial records.
- Cookies: as set out in section 7.
Where the law requires us to keep a record we cannot delete it early, even if you ask.
6. Your rights
Subject to the statutory retention above, you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email admin@wastecentral.co.uk.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — see section 18 of our Terms of Service for how we handle complaints.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are essential for the website to work; others would only be used, with your consent, to understand how the site is used or to measure advertising. We do not load any non-essential cookies until you choose "Accept", and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page.
Strictly necessary (always active — no consent required)
These are required for the website to function and for secure payment. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics and marketing (consent required)
Analytics cookies would help us understand how visitors use the site; marketing cookies would measure advertising performance. None of either are active today. If we enable any, this section will list them and we will ask for your consent first.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, or the small cookie button at the bottom of the screen, to reopen your preferences. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some essential features may not work correctly if you do. If we make a material change to the cookies we use, we will ask for your consent again.
8. Security, children, changes and contact
- Security: encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls, and PCI-compliant payment handling through Stripe.
- Children: our service is for adults and is not directed at children.
- Changes: we may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
